Mariner's Book ("the App") is a calculation, education and certificate-tracking tool for maritime professionals and students. This policy explains what data is processed, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and your rights.
The data below is collected electronically through the App and the website: by automated means when you sign in, use a feature or send a request, and from the information you enter yourself.

Not collected: advertising ID, analytics/crash SDKs in the Android app (for the website see "Website visit statistics" below), contacts, microphone, calendar. Health data is not collected, except what a document you choose to upload may contain (see above). The App currently shows no ads.
Website visit statistics: The website version (nauticalleap.com) is hosted by Lovable, which adds its own scripts to every page. They record visit statistics (pages viewed, browser and device type, browser language, approximate country derived from your device's time zone, referring site), page performance measurements and technical events such as clicks and page errors. Page views are recorded with the full page address. To group the pages of one visit they set a session cookie (session-id) that expires after 30 minutes. The hosting layer also sets two technically necessary cookies: __cf_bm (Cloudflare bot protection) and __dpl (routes you to the same version of the site for 24 hours; holds no visitor data). We use these figures only to see how the website is used; they are not used for advertising or sold. The Android app does not load these scripts.
About location: The App requests ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION. Weather, wind, sunrise/sunset times and the place name use approximate location only; it is sent to Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud at the moment of the request and is not stored on our servers. Precise location is used only by the position card on the home screen, which shows your live position while it is visible; that position stays on your device and is not sent to any service. If you turn the card off, precise location is not accessed. Location is never used in the background. Calculation and navigation tools do not read your device location. Before the system permission dialog the App explains why location is used. You can revoke the permission at any time and enter a location manually instead.
AI chats: Chat history is stored only in your device's local storage, never on our servers. Message content is however transmitted to the providers listed below to generate answers. One exception: if you choose to report an answer using the "Report this answer" button, that answer and the related prompt are saved to our servers for review.

We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising or profiling. Most of the providers above are located outside Türkiye (mainly in the USA and the EU), so the data listed for them is transferred abroad. For AI features and document uploads the App asks for your explicit consent before the first transfer; you can withdraw it in Settings → Privacy choices. Other transfers take place under the providers' own privacy policies and their technical and organisational security measures. Our hosting provider Lovable lists its sub-processors and their locations at trust.lovable.dev/subprocessors.
About external images: Some images on lesson pages are hosted on their source sites rather than our servers. We do not control those sites; they only see the technical information needed to serve the image (IP address, browser information) and are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not transmit your account or document data to them.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data in the App via Settings → Account → "Delete my account". Deletion covers your profile, quiz results, statistics, document records, document photos, uploaded files, user-generated components, usage counters, AI content reports and credentials, and cannot be undone.
If you have a subscription: deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription. To stop billing you must also cancel it under Google Play > Subscriptions.
You may also email nauticalleapapps@gmail.com to request deletion or a copy of your data; requests are handled within 30 days.
Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) you have the right to:
Under the GDPR you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent (documents, location, AI) you may withdraw it at any time: in Settings → Privacy choices for AI and documents, and in your device settings for location. Contact us at the address above; you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
This policy may be updated; material changes will be announced here and in the App.

Toplanmayan veriler: Reklam kimliği, Android uygulamasında analitik/çökme izleme SDK'sı (web sitesi için aşağıdaki "Web sitesi ziyaret istatistikleri"ne bakınız), kişiler, mikrofon, takvim. Sağlık verisi toplanmaz; yalnızca yüklemeyi seçtiğiniz bir belgenin içerdiği sağlık verisi işlenir (yukarıya bakınız). Uygulama şu anda reklam göstermez.
Web sitesi ziyaret istatistikleri: Web sürümü (nauticalleap.com) Lovable tarafından barındırılır ve Lovable her sayfaya kendi betiklerini ekler. Bu betikler ziyaret istatistiklerini (görüntülenen sayfalar, tarayıcı ve cihaz türü, tarayıcı dili, cihazınızın saat diliminden çıkarılan yaklaşık ülke, yönlendiren site), sayfa performans ölçümlerini ve tıklama, sayfa hatası gibi teknik olayları kaydeder. Sayfa görüntülemeleri sayfanın tam adresiyle kaydedilir. Bir ziyaretin sayfalarını birbirine bağlamak için 30 dakika sonra süresi dolan bir oturum çerezi (session-id) kullanır. Barındırma altyapısı ayrıca iki teknik zorunlu çerez koyar: __cf_bm (Cloudflare bot koruması) ve __dpl (sizi 24 saat boyunca sitenin aynı sürümüne yönlendirir; ziyaretçi verisi içermez). Bu verileri yalnızca web sitesinin nasıl kullanıldığını görmek için kullanırız; reklam amacıyla kullanılmaz ve satılmaz. Android uygulaması bu betikleri yüklemez.
Konum hakkında: Uygulama ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION ve ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION izinlerini kullanır. Hava durumu, rüzgâr, gün doğumu/batımı saatleri ve yer adı yalnızca yaklaşık konum kullanır; bu konum istek anında Open-Meteo ve BigDataCloud'a gönderilir, sunucularımızda saklanmaz. Hassas konumu yalnızca ana sayfadaki konum kartı kullanır ve kart görünürken anlık konumunuzu gösterir; bu konum cihazınızda kalır, hiçbir servise gönderilmez. Kartı kapatırsanız hassas konuma erişilmez. Konum arka planda hiçbir zaman kullanılmaz. Hesap ve seyir araçları cihaz konumunu okumaz. Sistem izin penceresinden önce uygulama konumun neden kullanıldığını açıklar. İzni cihaz ayarlarından her zaman kapatabilirsiniz; konum kapalıyken uygulamayı manuel konum girerek kullanabilirsiniz.
Yapay zekâ sohbetleri: Sohbet geçmişi sunucularımızda saklanmaz, yalnızca cihazınızın yerel deposunda tutulur. Ancak yanıt üretmek için mesaj içeriği aşağıdaki servis sağlayıcılara iletilir. Tek istisna: bir yanıtı "Bu yanıtı bildir" düğmesiyle bildirmeyi seçerseniz, yalnızca o yanıt ve ilgili sorunuz inceleme amacıyla sunucularımıza kaydedilir.

Veriler satılmaz ve reklam veya profilleme amacıyla paylaşılmaz. Yukarıdaki sağlayıcıların çoğu Türkiye dışında (ağırlıklı olarak ABD ve AB'de) bulunur; bu nedenle onlar için listelenen veriler yurt dışına aktarılır. Yapay zekâ özellikleri ve belge yükleme için uygulama, ilk aktarımdan önce açık rızanızı ister; rızanızı Ayarlar → Privacy choices bölümünden geri çekebilirsiniz. Diğer aktarımlar, sağlayıcıların kendi gizlilik politikaları ile teknik ve idari güvenlik önlemleri kapsamında yapılır. Barındırma sağlayıcımız Lovable'ın alt işleyicileri ve konumları trust.lovable.dev/subprocessors adresinde listelenir.
Harici görseller hakkında: Ders sayfalarındaki bazı görseller kendi sunucularımızda değil, kaynak sitelerinde barındırılır. Bu siteler tarafımızca yönetilmez; yalnızca görseli sunmak için gereken teknik bilgiyi (IP adresi, tarayıcı bilgisi) görürler ve kendilerine ait gizlilik politikalarına tabidirler. Bu sitelere tarafımızdan hesap veya belge veriniz aktarılmaz.
Uygulama içinde Ayarlar → Hesap → "Hesabımı sil" adımlarıyla hesabınızı ve tüm verilerinizi kalıcı olarak silebilirsiniz. Silme işlemi profilinizi, sınav sonuçlarınızı, istatistiklerinizi, belge kayıtlarınızı, belge fotoğraflarınızı, yüklediğiniz dosyaları, ürettiğiniz bileşenleri, kota sayacınızı, yapay zekâ içeriği bildirimlerinizi ve giriş bilgilerinizi kapsar ve geri alınamaz.
Aboneliğiniz varsa: Hesabınızı silmek Google Play aboneliğinizi iptal etmez. Ödemenin durması için aboneliği Google Play > Abonelikler bölümünden ayrıca iptal etmeniz gerekir.
Alternatif olarak nauticalleapapps@gmail.com adresine yazarak silme veya veri kopyası talebinde bulunabilirsiniz; talepler en geç 30 gün içinde yanıtlanır.

Rızaya dayalı işlemelerde (belge yükleme, konum, yapay zekâ) rızanızı istediğiniz zaman geri çekebilirsiniz: yapay zekâ ve belgeler için Ayarlar → Privacy choices bölümünden, konum için cihaz ayarlarından. Başvurularınızı yukarıdaki e-posta adresine iletebilir, sonuçtan memnun kalmazsanız yetkili veri koruma otoritesine şikâyette bulunabilirsiniz.
Uygulama 13 yaş altı çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bilerek 13 yaş altı kullanıcılardan veri toplamaz.
Bu politika güncellenebilir; önemli değişiklikler bu sayfada ve uygulama içinde duyurulur.
